Before it ended up here, this tiny engine kept time on someone’s wrist half a century ago.
We rescue the inner mechanisms of old 1960s and 70s watches that would otherwise be melted down or thrown away. Look closely and you’ll see the tiny world inside: polished silver plates, brass gears with fine teeth, tiny screws, and the small jewels that gave these movements their precision.
Held in place by four sterling silver claws, the movement sits proud and visible from the front. The silver bail lets it hang freely from the cord.
A great addition for steampunk enthusiasts. With its exposed gears, brass details and real mechanical heritage, this pendant brings authentic clockwork to a costume, a convention outfit or an everyday look. It’s the real thing, not a printed or cast imitation.

- Every piece arrives ready for gifting, either in a beautiful black box with the Thornhill logo or in a high-quality black velvet bag or hessian pouch. The Details in each description tell you which.
- Pendants come on a recycled black wax cord.
- All our jewellery is guaranteed, and we offer a free cleaning service: just send your piece to us with a stamped addressed envelope.
- You can return any item within 14 days of receiving it. See our returns policy for details.
- If you’re not happy with anything, let us know as soon as possible and we’ll do whatever we can to put it right.
