Ash Tree of Life

The Ash Tree of Life. The ash tree is one of the most common trees in Britain. It is often used in furniture making due to its strength, but its most common use is for firewood as, 'ashwood wet or ashwood dry, a king would warm his slippers by'.

In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil was an immense mythical ash tree at the centre of and connecting the nine worlds in Norse cosmology.
